Endurance test for pressure reducers

Workpiece:

Pressure reducing valve with brass, gunmetal or stainless steel body in sizes DN 10 to DN 50

Task:

Development and construction of a test rig for testing the long-term serviceability of pressure reducers.

Solution:

The test station is designed for the automatic endurance testing of pressure reducers.

For this purpose, the various pressure reducers are manually installed in the test circuit of the test bench by the worker using product-specific adapters and pressurized with the aid of a pump. The flow rate and the pressure upstream and downstream of the pressure reducer are recorded. 10 pressure reducers can be tested simultaneously.

It is operated via a PLC with user-friendly visualization. The test station is secured against access with sliding safety doors.

Tap water with a temperature of up to 90° C is used as the test medium.
