Based on our TECHTORY-floor-cell with a rotary indexing table, two planet gear carriers are machined simultaneously in this system. In this process, the mounting bores of the planetary gears are deburred in a single operation and all additional burrs produced during machining are removed in the subsequent stations.

In this line, hardcoat polycarbonate films are punched automatically in a 3-shift operation. The films are provided with a protective film on one side.
The entire machining process runs automatically in a robot cell. A robot removes the films one by one before correcting the position supported by a camera and placing the films in a press. The punched films are removed from the press by an independent linear handling system and deposited in another stacking box. Loading and unloading are carried out by the operator via drawer magazines. The production cycle inside of the cell is not disturbed during the process.

The cleaning and machining process of various motorhousings upstream and downstream of a customer’s existing cleaning system was almost completely automated in this project.
Different types of housings are manually placed on coded workpiece carriers. The transport takes place via a chain roller conveyor with accumulating function. A camera station inspects the housings for various features, for selection of the associated brushing programs. An essential part of the automation is the robot cell. The parts are deburred in this cell by feeding them to different brushes using the robot.
After washing by the customer, the housings are returned to the conveyor system with buffer section. After manual removal, the workpiece carriers are finally moved automatically into the associated logistics module in the workpiece carrier magazine.

The collaborative features allow close cooperation with the worker without the need for a safety enclosure. The unmachined and finished parts are picked up by a gripper with special protection properties. Opening and closing as well as clamping and releasing of the parts in the machine vice operates automatically.
