Task:

Development, design, manufacture, assembly and commissioning of a fully automated system for the machining, assembly and testing of angle encoders.

Solution:

Pre-assembled sensors are first inserted manually and then fed to the system by means of pneumatic handling. A Scara robot with feeder unit takes over the indexing of the actuating levers. The parts are transported to the machining station via a rotary indexing table. First, levers and sensors are automatically pre-bolted together.

In further stations, hot riveting with infrared technology creates an inseparable joint. After the functional test, the n.o.k. parts are discharged from the process via a chute.
