Partially automated manual workstations – Assembly and testing system for an oil pump

Task:

Gear pumps are to be assembled and tested in successive steps at several semi-automated workstations.

Solution:

At four partially automated manual workstations, various pump parts are joined, tested, oiled and assembled in specified work steps.

While parts are assembled and pressed in work stations 1 and 2, functional, measurement and torque tests take place in stations 3 and 4. By issuing a label, good parts are identified and the assembly sequence is monitored.
