Workpiece: |
Shafts of different diameters and lengths (12 variants) |
Task: |
A grinding machine is to be automatically loaded and unloaded with shafts of different dimensions. The ground shafts must then be cleaned and optically measured. In addition, a calibration master and dressing tools are to be used. |
Solution: |
The system is constructed from a TECHTORY floor cell with a stable base plate. The two operator drawers for the workpieces also come from the TECHTORY automation kit. They are equipped with holders for customer containers. In addition, there is one drawer each for SPC parts (statistical process control) and n.i.O. parts, as well as a protected storage area for dressing tools. Customer components are loaded and removed manually. LEDs on the outside indicate the status of drawers and nest occupancy. A large access door allows the operator to carry out work in the cell or access the machine door of the grinding machine at any time. An industrial robot works inside the cell, feeding the workpieces to the machine tool. For this purpose, the robot arm is equipped with a spring-loaded double gripper with an additional suction nozzle. The gripper has sufficient stroke to cover the entire range of components. Once the ground parts have been removed, they are cleaned and placed in a device for optical measurement. Finally, they are deposited in the output drawer or in the drawer for n.i.O. parts. The robot also handles the dressing tools and the calibration master. To prevent mix-ups, these are checked by a camera system before being inserted into the machine tool. |
