Semi-automated manual workstations – Extended assembly and testing system for air nozzles

Workpiece:

Ventilation nozzles consisting of housing parts and various individual parts

Task:

The assembly and quality inspection of ventilation nozzles is to be carried out at several, successive work stations. The assemblies consist of individual housing parts, various individual parts and slats as well as decorative parts.

Solution:

Several semi-automated workstations were combined to form an assembly line with a final testing station. Ergonomic and comfortable working conditions, various insertion aids, design based on the poka-yoke principle and a high level of work and process safety characterize the individual stations. In a final EOL test station, a functional and completeness check of the installed components is carried out; O.K. parts receive a label.
