Development of a mobile robot platform

Task:	Development of a mobile platform to accommodate cobots and industrial robots from a wide range of manufacturers and for handling various pipes using vacuum grippers.
Solution:	Cobots and industrial robots with power weights up to 25 kg can be fitted on a mobile platform. The universal mounting plate on the platform allows flexible assembly and modification of applications. A vacuum gripper was developed for removing the pipe bodies from a container. A distance measurement and a mathematical calculation model are used to determine the exact position of the pipes, followed by the path planning. The platform can be used as a stand-alone system including application or as a pure robot platform. All required components, such as robot control cabinet, pneumatics, electrical cabinet, etc., are located at the bottom of the platform. Ground sensors secure the area around the platform.
