Customized system construction – System for palletizing storage rolls

Fully automatic palletizing of randomly incoming storage rolls

Workpiece:
Bearing rollers in two variants and with different diameters
Task:
The rolls, which are randomly placed on a feed belt by a pilot-controlled machine, are to be picked up by a gripper and deposited in an orderly manner in the boxes provided.
Solution:
The basic structure of the system is based on a standard TECHTORY-floor-cell.

The feed belt on the rear side is loaded with storage rollers by a pilot-controlled system. A gripper picks up the randomly arriving parts and places or stacks them in the boxes provided. For this purpose, the gripper can be equipped with fingers to pick up the different rolls internally and externally. A movable camera system, which is located above the system, recognizes both the pick-up positions of the incoming bearings on the conveyor belt and the lower storage positions in the individual boxes. As the camera permanently supplies position data, a smooth process with high cycle times is possible.

The boxes required for stacking are provided on pallets by the worker. To prevent downtime when changing pallets, the system has two separate chambers.
