Mobile human-robot collaboration: Flexible bonding cell

Workpiece:

Deep drawn sheet metal parts

Task:

Two different deep-drawn sheet metal parts, one on the right and one on the left, are to be glued and inspected by a robot in collaborative operation.

Solution:

The mobile Techtory-robo-cell is used for the task. The operator manually inserts the thermoformed parts into the fixture. The robot takes over the gluing process. Workers and robots work together in collaborative operation. A metering system delivers the adhesive through a hose to the robot arm. A camera system monitors the adhesive application during the movement. The worker then passes the glued parts directly to the downstream system.
